Characteristics
- Open belt by the metre
- Temperature range from -30°C to + 80°C
- Tension member made of steel or aramid (Kevlar)
- Made of polyurethane (PU)

The T10 profile is trapezoidal. The tooth and tooth space are almost the same size on these belts
The tensile force of a PU timing belt is largely determined by the tension members used. The choice of tension member material depends on the specific requirements of the respective application.
We offer customised PU timing belts that are cut to your exact specifications.

Selection of tension members in PU timing belts
The tensile force of a PU timing belt is largely determined by the tension members used. The choice of tension member material depends on the specific requirements of the respective application.
Steel tension members
Steel tension members offer outstanding tensile strength for PU timing belts. Their thin, galvanised wires are stabilised by twisting, which enables a high tensile force. However, due to the susceptibility of steel to corrosion, these tension members are not suitable for applications in humid environments or under water.
Compared to Kevlar tension members, steel tension members in identical belt profiles have a higher tensile force and rigidity, which makes them ideal for applications with high loads.
Kevlar tension members (aramid)
Kevlar tension members, also known as aramid tension members, offer better impact resistance than steel. Their flexibility allows them to absorb short-term load peaks without breaking. However, Kevlar tension members should not be deflected more tightly than steel tension members due to their lower flexural fatigue strength. Aramid can also swell under water conditions and generate a higher prestressing force.
PA fabric black antistatic is a finely structured, electrically conductive coating with low adhesion and medium to high abrasion resistance that enables relative movements for aligning or stowing goods.

We offer customised PU timing belts that are cut to your exact specifications. Please note that cut-to-size belts are excluded from the right of cancellation, as they cannot be re-stocked due to the individual customisation.
